Our little pink princess!

Today was such a fun shopping day with Arfan. I'm in total nesting mode between getting Ariyana's nursery ready and non-stop vacuuming. It's driving Arfan nuts. I don't know why I have such a desire to vacuum, but alas, I keep doing it!
Today we went and found tons of cute little sleepers and outfits for our little girl! We are already talking about what she may look like, her cute little toes or how she'll laugh. What her personality will be like. She already plays games with Daddy. She'll be kicking me non-stop and Arfan will get down to my belly and start talking to her. She'll get really quiet and be completely in tune with what he is saying. I love it. And then he'll tap on my belly and she'll kick back in that same spot! At first I thought it was a coincidence, but after several occasions, it's most definitely not! Such a wonderful feeling to be able to be starting our little family! She is loved so much already!

Scrapbooking

Keeping in mind that I'm in school full time, and largely preggo - in my spare time, [lol, hardly any], I really enjoy scrapbooking. I just wish I had more time to do it! In any case, I've started to scrapbook some of Ariyana's ultrasound photos. She is so much a part of me. Feeling every kick, hiccup, and movement is just amazing. I feel like I'm her protector from the world. That nothing bad can happen to her right now so long as I have a warm place for her to nap. I can't wait to meet this little angel.

Toby One

At the doggie wash. It was a hot day out obviously.

Our sweet little guy shortly after we got him. He was irresistible at the SPCA
Our sweet puppy Toby got a bath today. Poor little guy was stinky and we were not big fans of it. At the end of our street there is a rather nice self serve dog wash that we had yet to check out. A bit on the pricy side for a do-it-yourself, but at least when we were finished he smelled good. He even was able to come up on the couch again for a cuddle. He still thinks he's a lap dog despite getting to be a big guy.

Team Pink!

It's a girl! It's a girl! It's a girl!
I was so wrong in thinking our little precious daughter was going to be a boy! She is most definitely a girl! She was so active and rolling around on the ultrasound! Punching and kicking all the time. Of course I can very much feel every little movement at this point in time! I can't wait to be her mommy!

Our little girl also now has a name: Ariyana Nancy. We love the name Ariyana - meaning Holy in Greek. Her middle name Nancy, is from her Great-great Aunt. She is the most wonderful person I know and I'm so thrilled that I'm able to give her that name! I look forward to introducing my daughter to her! Arfan and I couldn't be prouder! Plus, Arfan was really hoping for a healthy little girl!

I can already tell, she's the most beautiful little girl in the world... but I'm biased =)

California - Right back where I started from!

We had a fabulous trip to California to see my family. I was able to introduce Arfan to the rest of my family and we made our little baby's presence known to them! They didn't say anything about my 'roundness' but I'm sure they had some sort of an idea, but they didn't say anything until I told them! We had such a fantastic time. Gorgeous weather and it was soooo nice to see my family. We toured the wine country and briefly checked out San Francisco. I'm going to miss my family so much!

Flutters and Butterflies

My sweet little child is starting to kick me! Arfan and I took a day road trip to Niagara Falls, Canada. I've been living here for over a year already and hadn't been to the falls since I was a teen. On the road trip up, as usual, Arfan had the music up a bit. Our sweet little baby started kicking me! Not with a lot of power, but I could very well feel soft movement. It was the most glorious feeling in the world. I can't wait to be a mom!

Our Fur Family

I love these little guys so much. Of course, we had the two kitties first. Tux and Angel. Then along came Toby. They are finally starting to warm up to each other. We will see how long this lasts!
